Laser therapy or surgery may be used to treat more extensive or complicated cases. Treatment can be frustrating because of the long incubation period of HPV. It is common to need more than one treatment to clear up genital warts and it is common for the warts to recur after treatment

The discovery of genital warts infection can be devastating and shocking and this can cause one to seek over the counter medication. This is not however advised because most of this medication can only be applied by trained medical personnel. Main reason fro this is that the ingredients’ used in these medicines is too strong to be used on these sensitive genital areas.
